Untersuchungen der Zweigstelle Kairo des Österreichischen Archäologischen Instituts (UZK)

The series Untersuchungen der Zweigstelle Kairo des Österreichischen Archäologischen Instituts was founded in 1975 by Manfred Bietak in order to publish the results of the research and the investigations of the newly created Cairo-branch of the Austrian Archaeological Institute. Most volumes published thus far deal with the long-term Austrian excavations at the site of Tell el-Dab’a in the Eastern Nile-Delta. As the Cairo-Branch of the institute has expanded its excavation activities to various sites, a special sub-series “Ausgrabungen in Tell el-Dab’a” (edited by M. Bietak) was created to continue the Tell el-Dab’a publications.

The series is edited by the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology (OREA) and the Austrian Archaeological Institute (ÖAI) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and coordinated by OREA. All submitted manuscripts are subject to international peer-review, supervised by the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
